Each month, our Gleaning Ministry takes us to the hill country of Kabale, Uganda. It's there we find the poorest of the poor in need of food, clothing, and medical attention. Many are part of the oldest surviving indigenous tribe in Africa - the Batwa. Living in grass huts and etching out their existence off the land, many of their children are malnourished, uneducated, and suffer from a sand flea known as "jiggers." The jigger burrows itself into the bottom of its host's foot. It is painful and can lead to secondary infections.

This February we welcomed five new students from the Batwa community into our program! PPMU transported them in our van to the school, gave them new clothes and shoes, fed them, and purchased mattresses for their dorm beds. They even received new school uniforms!

It will be a huge transition for these little ones, but what an opportunity for them to thrive and hear the Word of God! Please pray for them. Pray they will transition smoothly into their new home and school. Please also pray they will come to know how much God loves them and that they have a future filled with joy and hope. Perhaps one day, they will share God’s love with their Batwa friends and family!

This is why we do what we do, and we could not do it without you. Become a donor today by clicking the link below.
