Our Statement of Faith

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

Partners of Progressive Ministries Uganda believes two hands help one another, God has blessed humanity beyond measure, it’s our role as human beings to love one another as Christ loved us and to make this world a better place for the current and future generation, we affirm and commit to the following:

  • Bible: We believe the Bible is the only infallible rule of faith and practice and the only written word of God without mistake in the original manuscripts, we affirm the divine inspiration, veracity, and authority of both the Old and New Testament Scriptures in their whole. Timothy 3:16

  • God: We declare that there is only one, eternal, triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Christ: We affirm that the sole Mediator between God and people is Jesus Christ, who is the unique God-Man who sacrificed himself as a ransom for sinners. He perished for our sins and triumphantly rose from the grave. To complete our redemption and judge the world, Jesus will come in splendor.

  • The Holy Ghost: We have faith in the Holy Spirit's existence and effectiveness. To testify about his Son, the Father sent his Spirit. His job includes the conviction of sin, the faith in Christ, the new birth, and Christian development.

  • Salvation: We think that as sinners, we are rescued by grace via faith in Jesus, who is the only one who can save us. Forgiveness via the blood of Christ is available to sinners who sincerely confess and turn from their transgressions. We are reborn into an eternal life when we put our faith in and receive Christ. Luke 19:10; John 1:11–13; Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 4:12.

  • Church: We firmly believe that every follower of Christ is a part of the church, which is his body. Our mission is to reach out to the lost both locally and globally and especially our local communities in Uganda by winning them over to God.

  • Social Responsibility: We firmly believe that caring about the global social landscape equates to loving our neighbor. Every person, regardless of race, religion, color, culture, class, sex, or age, has an essential dignity so therefore, he or she should be respected and served rather than exploited because all people were created in the image of God.

  • Spiritual Warfare: We hold that the principalities and forces of Satan, who are attempting to destroy the Church and thwart God's plans, are at war with us in a perpetual spiritual battle. We are aware of the necessity of donning God's armor and using prayer and spiritual truth as our primary weapons in this conflict. Ephesians 6:10-18.
